So this is what it's like to get a life!!
This weekend was a completely busy blast! Friday I went to Rockford with Jen S. and picked up some blue hair dye, we ate at Fazoilli's (note to self: if you ever decided to open a restaurant, unlimited bread sticks is the key to success!), and then headed home. We picked up Rachel and Faith and headed back to my apartment and dyed my hair blue (it looks awesome, I love it!). Then we headed over to lifestone cafe and played some cards and hung out. I headed out kind of early because Saturday morning I was up at 7A.M. heading back to Dixon, I hung out with my mom (whose fist response to the blue hair was "my little smurf"! why do people keep saying that??? smurfs had yellow or white hair... their SKIN was what was blue and my skin is not blue!). Then at around 11a.m. we (Coral and I) headed off to visit whitney at ISU. It was a fun drive and I was proud of myself because we didn't google for direction, I just picked up an Illinois map and drew our own path! Once at ISU we went and did a little shopping at Plato's closet and then we had to head back because at 5P.M. we left for Peoria to go to a Riverman hockey game and Jars of Clay concert. Both were awesome. Coral decided to cheer for the opposing team so we both had fun trash talking between the two of us (I'm happy to report that my team won 3-1). Sadly there was only one fight and the ref's didn't even let them get to into!! Sunday morning we woke up, got ready and went to Whit's church, cornerstone. It was really cool they had a good speaker who addressed the issue of evangelism and how we should strive for a messages of love and not hatred!! After that we went to Denny's because none of us had ever been. It seemed like your all American dining joint and we enjoyed it quite nicely! Once we were all finished we packed up and with our trusty map headed back to Dixon. I decided to hang out with the family Sunday night so this morning I drove back to Dekalb. So there it is, quite a busy weekend and I had to think to myself, wow this is what if feels like to have a life and not just hold up in my apartment watching t.v., blogging or reading a book. It was a great change of pace, but I must say I did miss being lazy!!! Tina
